How far in advance do I have to place my order?

The earlier the better. I normally need around 3 months notice to ensure availability. However, I am sometimes able to squeeze in some more last minute orders; you just have to ask!

How do I place an order?

Simple. Click on "I Want One" at the top of this page and you will be brought to my order form! Fill it out, send it and I will get an email with your order. I will review your order and get back to you with a quote and further questions, as necessary.

Are your cakes nuts/peanuts free?

All of my recipes are always nut and peanut free.

Do you deliver?

Yes I do! For pricing, simply send over the delivery address and I will send over the estimate.

Face-to-face meetings are sometimes convenient for clients who want to place a large order (wedding, large event) and wish to taste some cake samples. I normally meet with clients 2-3 months prior to their event where we finalize all the cake designs together.

For smaller orders, email consultations and/or over the phone meetings are sufficient and very time-efficient.

To request a face- to- face OR an over-the-phone meeting, please email me: serendipitycakesolivia@gmail.com

Can I meet you to discuss my order?

To book a date in my calendar, a 20% deposit is required. For larger cakes and wedding cakes, $100 deposits are required to hold a date. This can be sent via e-transfer to serendipitycakesolivia@gmail.com.

Do I need to send you a deposit?

You have three options:

Please note: I do my best to respond to emails within one week. However, since most of my time is spent working on orders in my cake studio and due the high volume of enquiries I receive, it might take me a little longer to respond (this is especially the case between Thursday to Sunday). I appreciate your patience and understanding.

How do I contact you?

What is the best way to cut a multi-layer round cake?

Since multi-layer cakes are thick, single portions can be cut in thin slices or small rectangles, rather than in “pie-shape” slices to make serving easier. You will notice large straws through the cake, used as dowels to stabilize the layers together. You can run your knife through the cake, being careful to avoid the straws which can be removed.
